Your Data, Handled Right
What surgery centers and clinics ask us about security — and the straight answers.
Why this page exists
You’re being asked to let a piece of software look at your medication inventory. That’s a reasonable thing to want reassurance about before you say yes — so here’s exactly how we handle your data, in plain language, no fine print.
No new hardware, no patient data
Two things make this an easy thing to try.
First, there’s nothing to install. You use your phone’s camera to scan a barcode or snap a photo of a label — that’s it. No new devices, no IT project, no cabinets to bolt to a wall.
Second, and more importantly: we don’t touch your patients’ information at all. The product tracks medication, supplies and implants — what you have, where it is, when it expires, how it’s being used — and nothing about who it’s being used on. We built it this way on purpose, from day one, not as an afterthought. That means bringing this into your practice doesn’t add a new place where patient information could ever be exposed, because it was never collected in the first place.
How your data is protected
Everything travelling between your phone and our systems is encrypted, and so is every photograph you capture — we check that on the storage itself each time we deploy, rather than taking it on trust. Two-factor authentication is required on every account — there is a short window to set it up when someone joins, and after that a stolen password alone isn’t enough to get in. We can set that window to zero for your practice if you would rather.
Access is role-based: only the people you’ve authorized can see your inventory data, and the things that matter most — who added stock, who changed a setting, who signed in, who read a record outside their own area — are logged. If you ever need to know exactly what happened and when, that record exists, and you can export it as a signed bundle.
If you take a photo to log a medication and it happens to catch something else in the background, we automatically strip out the hidden location and device information that photo would otherwise carry before it’s ever stored. That’s not something you have to think about or configure — it just happens.
Your data stays yours
Your inventory data is walled off from every other clinic and hospital that uses the product — nothing about your practice is ever visible to another customer, and nothing about theirs is visible to you. We don’t mix your data with anyone else’s, and we don’t use it to build features for other customers, without your explicit, revocable permission first.
It’s also never held hostage. If your billing status changes or a contract question comes up, that never locks you out of your own data. And if you ever decide to leave, ask us and we will deliver everything you hold, in full. That is written into the agreement rather than left to goodwill.
Built the right way
This isn’t a generic inventory app repurposed for pharmacies. It’s built on the same drug-identification standards and barcode formats (like GS1 and NDC codes) that the pharmacy supply chain already runs on, and it’s aligned with the federal drug-traceability rules that govern how medication moves through the system. That matters because it means the product actually understands your inventory the way a pharmacist does — not just as generic items on a shelf.
Where this is headed
What you’re trying today is the foundation of a much larger platform, and it’s being built with that in mind from the start — every protection described here only gets more rigorous as the product grows to serve larger practices and hospitals. You’re not adopting something that will need to be replaced later. You’re getting in on the ground floor of something built to last.
